Secondly, it is important to replace your toothbrush four times a year, or every three months. When you do this, it is also important to choose the right type of brush, and most dentists recommend the type that have soft bristles. Changing your brush is important, as the bristles will wear out, and using the right type is important to avoid damaging the enamel on your teeth.

Use a daily mouth rinse

Another good suggestion is to use a daily mouth rinse that is alcohol-free and that contains fluoride. This will give your teeth extra protection and can help freshen your breath and fight decay.

Avoid consuming a lot of acidic, sugary beverages

What you consume is also important for oral health, and the best thing to avoid is drinking beverages that are high in sugars and acids. This includes fruit juices, wine, and sport drinks.

Brush or scrape your tongue

One last thing you should add to your daily routine is brushing or scraping your tongue. A lot of people forget to do this, but it is vital as your tongue can be full of bacteria and plaque. Brushing or scraping it can help reduce your risks of having bad breath and developing cavities.
